Education

Score One for Safety eventPGE invests in education because it is critical to our business, to our responsibility as a committed corporate citizen, and to the health and economic vitality of the communities where our employees and customers live and work.

Score One for Safety & Health at PGE Park
To help teach kids how to be safe, PGE sponsors this annual summer event at PGE Park.

Children and their families visit with safety and rescue personnel including fire fighters, police officers, paramedics and PGE’s own Larry the Lightbulb. Kids get an up close look at real fire engines, PGE bucket trucks, police cruisers and other rescue vehicles. There are games, activities and giveaways that reinforce lessons about electrical safety, drugs, fire safety and more. A Portland Beavers baseball game caps off the fun. Visit PGE Park Web site for more information and tickets.

Wild Life Live! at the Oregon Zoo
This special show, which takes off three times daily during summer months at the Oregon Zoo, features hawks, owls, vultures, eagles and some non-raptor species flying free. As the birds swoop over the heads of the audience demonstrating their hunting and feeding skills, kids and their parents learn all about these amazing creatures and the environment.

Find a schedule for Wild Life Live! on the Oregon Zoo Web site.
