Slimming down is a common success story at Anytime Fitness in Tigard. But this time, instead of a client, it’s the electric costs and lighting that look better.

The gym’s owner wanted to reign in growing energy bills. So gym manager Sabrina Sales joined PGE’s Save More, Matter More™ campaign to turn off unused lights.

PGE consultation kick-starts project
A free energy-efficiency consultation with PGE lighting specialist Mark Whitney led to a complete lighting retrofit. Even though Anytime Fitness leases the space, it was still a smart investment to help the bottom line.

Extra Effort Consulting and Supply led the project, which included replacing old three- and four-lamp T12 fluorescent fixtures with high-performance two-lamp T8s with electronic ballasts. Firefly Electric performed the installation.

Cash incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon helped cover costs and speed up payback on the investment.

Goals met — and then some
The outcome? Outstanding. Salas summed it up in a thank-you letter to Extra Effort Consulting:
