Time of Use pricing is divided into three different price categories for three different parts of the day.

The Time of Use option could result in a lower electricity bill, but only if you are able to significantly shift the number of kilowatt hours you use from on- and mid-peak to off-peak periods. Otherwise, you could end up paying more.
Time of Use pricing will work best for businesses that use electricity late at night or on weekends. If you’re not able to significantly shift your energy use to off-peak periods, you will not benefit from this plan.

Costs for heating and air conditioning can account for as much as 50 percent of your energy use during peak seasons, based on the size of your business, climate, construction, efficiency of your heating and cooling equipment, insulation of your business and operating habits.
Eligibility and limits
- Enrollment minimum is one year.
- Applicants may not be enrolled in both Time of Use and Basic Service, but may combine either Time of Use or Basic Service with renewable options.
