Your community is our community, so we actively participate and invest in making it better.
Portland General Electric actively contributes to organizations working to strengthen the health and economic vitality of the communities where our employees and customers live and work. Here are guidelines to PGEs funding priorities and eligibility.
What are PGEs primary funding areas?
PGE has four primary community investment focus areas:
- Education and youth development: PGE works as a corporate leader in efforts to improve K-12 education, close the achievement gap and ensure stable school funding. To ensure a skilled workforce in the future, we support workforce development initiatives focused on educating and training future workers specifically in the utility industry.
- Environmental sustainability: PGE believes that environmental protection and sound business practices are one and the same, so we support programs that promote the wise use of energy, protect wildlife and natural resources, and educate the community about sustainable practices.
- Healthy families: PGE values programs that give Oregon families the tools they need to thrive. PGE supports organizations that raise awareness about health issues, provide resources to low-income families and help Oregonians meet their families basic needs.
- Vital communities: PGE encourages the success of Oregon businesses and local communities by supporting initiatives that attract and expand local businesses. We also support business, civic and cultural events that strengthen local economies.
What organizations are eligible for funding from PGE?
