PGE employees give generously to the community through our annual company-wide giving campaign. In fact, we have one of the most successful employee giving campaigns in Oregon.
The 2007 campaign set another company record, with 62 percent of employees participating in the campaign (the national average for corporations this size is 35 percent) and raising approximately $1.4 million to benefit more than 795 Oregon and national nonprofit agencies and schools.
What sets our campaign apart and encourages our employees to give so generously? Its that contributors have many options.
Employees can choose to direct their money to United Way, Black United Fund of Oregon, Earth Share Oregon, Regional Arts & Culture Fund, the PGE Foundation, Providence Cancer Center or the Oregon Burn Center. They can also designate gifts to any local school or qualifying nonprofit.
In addition, PGE increases the value of all employee gifts with a 50 percent company match.
This generous giving is a reflection of PGE employees deep roots in the community.
