 There are many fish species present in our hydropower project waters. Chinook and coho salmon, steelhead and sea-run cutthroat trout are anadromous, meaning the fish are born in fresh water, migrate to the ocean to feed and grow, then return to fresh water to spawn. Kokanee and rainbow trout, bull trout, brown trout and cutthroat trout are resident species, which remain in local waters.
