PGE Hydropower and Fish Photo Tour
Willamette Falls

Willamette Falls
Willamette Falls, home of PGE’s historic T.W. Sullivan Plant, is the only waterfall in Oregon large enough for commercial power production.

A fish ladder diverts upstream fish away from the powerhouse discharge and over the falls; it also houses a fish counter operated by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department. Downstream migrants either go over the falls or into the plant forebay, where they can either pass around the turbines through a screening system to the outfall or through the North Fish Bypass.
