Little Sandy Dam

Little Sandy Dam
The Little Sandy Dam, built nearly a century ago, diverted almost all of the water out of the Little Sandy River for power production. With the closure of the Bull Run hydro project, the Little Sandy Dam and a three-mile wood-box flume that delivered water from the dam to Roslyn Lake, were removed in 2008. The dam’s demolition restored the Little Sandy River to a free-flowing river and opened the upper river to fish passage.
