 That’s a great question!
Does PGE do home energy audits?

Q: Are you still running the program where someone can come to my house and assess energy efficiency? We need to figure out how insulated we are.
Thank you,
Sally Willson

A: That’s a great question, Sally. You’re right, PGE used to conduct home energy audits. But now Energy Trust of Oregon can help you.

Energy Trust is a nonprofit organization created by the State of Oregon and funded by a 3 percent "Public Purpose" charge that we all pay on our energy bills. Energy Trust has been directing this public-purpose funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for customers of PGE, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas since March 2002.

Energy Trust conducts free Home Energy Reviews and offers cash incentives on qualifying energy efficiency home improvements. You can learn more on the Energy Trust Web site.

You might also want to check out the Online Home Energy Analysis. This do-it-yourself analysis takes about 20 to 30 minutes. It compares your usage to similar households and gives you customized recommendations on how to reduce your home’s energy bill. You can also contact the PGE Energy Experts for help with home energy questions and advice on available energy programs, rebates and incentives.
