About the Project
In late 2010, PGE purchased a vacant 10-acre site in Tualatin, which was formerly a Coca-Cola distribution facility. In May of 2011, we began remodeling the main building and office space. Throughout 2012 we will continue to make improvements and relocate PGE staff to this new space, creating a state-of-the art vehicle maintenance facility. It will increase productivity, and keep our costs down, which helps us keep rates reasonable for all of our customers.

As the first new facility for PGE in many years, the Avery project will follow PGE’s commitment to a safe, efficient and sustainable business practices. As of Dec. 16, 2011, PGE has begun initial operations in the new facility, with the relocation of its Metal Works shop and administrative office. As construction is finalized, additional work groups will continue to move into the facility through the spring of 2012.

Phase II — External site improvements
  • May – July 2011: Design – Complete
  • June – July 2011: Environmental Review – Complete
  • August – December 2011: Architectural Review/Permitting – Complete
  • January – August 2012: Construction – In Progress
  • January – May 2012: Additional PGE employees move-in

Outreach & Public Participation
PGE is working with the City of Tualatin, neighboring property owners, the local Chamber of Commerce, and the general public on the new project — from the beginning of the permitting process through the operation of the new facility.
