A stronger, more resilient system
As the region commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Columbus Day Storm, PGE reminds customers that natural disasters may strike at any time. While PGE cannot protect the electrical system from every conceivable weather event or natural disaster, its system is stronger today as a result of improvements and experience from battling more than a century of storms, floods and other challenges.

Using social media to help customers prepare
As part of our commitment to safety, PGE is also encouraging customers to get prepared this fall with a series of blog posts with tips on how to be ready for anything from a temporary power outage to a larger emergency.
