Incentives available on qualifying heat pumps
PGE rebate
PGE-approved contractors offer a $200 instant rebate when you install an energy-efficient heat pump in your home. The rebate also is available if you upgrade from an older, less efficient heat pump. Heat pumps rated at a minimum ARI certified 7.7 HSPF (heating efficiency) and 13 SEER (cooling efficiency) qualify. Heat pump system must meet PGE installation specifications and must be installed by a
PGE-approved contractor. A PGE-approved contractor can also help you select the right size and model.
Energy Trust incentive
The $200 to $450 Energy Trust incentive* is available on qualifying premium-efficiency heat pumps that meet Energy Trust efficiency standards.
* Standard Energy Trust cash incentives are for ducted heat pumps only.
Receive up to an additional $885 in Energy Trust incentives when you install a high-performance heat pump and opt for duct testing and sealing and a Check Me!® system check.
An $800 ductless heat pump cash incentive is available if you meet Energy Trust ductless heat pump requirements.
Oregon energy tax credit
The $300 to $430 Oregon energy tax credit on the highest efficiency models (minimum 9.0 HSPF and 12 EER). To qualify, you must have a qualified diagnostic test performed and the heat pump must be installed by a state-certified contractor. The Oregon tax credit on ductless, mini-split heat pumps (PDF) is between $50 and $400.
