PGE-Certified Electrical Contractors
If there’s a power outage, PGE crews respond quickly to repair the lines. Occasionally, though, the problem isn’t with the electrical lines running down your street or to your house — it’s at your house.

Customer-owned equipment detail For instance, the meter base, the service mast — or conduit — above your electric meter, and the weatherhead at the top of the mast all belong to you, not PGE.

If any of this electrical equipment on your house is damaged, you’ll need to hire an electrical contractor to do the repair work. But who do you call, especially if it’s the weekend or the middle of the night?

Here’s how PGE can help. If our crews determine the problem is with your equipment, they can supply you with a list of PGE-certified PowerBack electrical contractors who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. And because these contractors are PGE-certified, you can be sure they have met PGE’s high standards.

If your home needs electrical repairs, no matter what time of day or night, PGE’s PowerBack program will help you get your power back — fast! Our list of PowerBack electrical contractors is shown below.

PGE-certified PowerBack contractors
You can feel confident that these contractors will do a good job because to be listed as a PGE-certified they must:
  • Be licensed and bonded with the Oregon State Electrical Board
  • Have no outstanding claims against them with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board or Better Business Bureau
  • Agree to phone you back within one hour of your call.
  • Provide a minimum one-year guarantee, on parts and labor, on PowerBack work performed
Questions to ask a contractor
When you call a PowerBack contractor, be sure to ask how quickly they can respond to your repair needs and what rates they charge. Be aware that most contractors charge different rates for work done during regular business hours and work during after-hours, on weekends and on holidays.
