Admission and parking are free. Food and souvenirs are available for purchase. Don’t forget to bring cash or checks — there is no ATM on site.

The event is hosted by PGE, the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Crooked River National Grassland.
Lake Billy Chinook is one of the best places to spot both bald and golden eagles in Oregon.

Sunday, March 29 will feature a cultural presentation from the Quartz Creek Drummers and Dancers.
Learn all about the fish and wildlife that make their home in Central Oregon, including the majestic bald eagle and colorful sockeye salmon.
Celebrity guests at the event include JR Beaver, Seymour Antelope, and Smokey the Bear.
Participate in educational arts and crafts, all about the native plants and animals of Oregon.
Aquila the golden eagle was an occasional visitor at past Eagle Watch events, giving attendees the opportunity to meet a raptor up close.
Use our raptor spotting stations to find and identify birds above the reservoir.
Round Butte Overlook Park provides an excellent view of Lake Billy Chinook and Round Butte Dam – part of PGE’s hydroelectric project on the Deschutes River.
