Become a Junior Ranger

Join the PGE Parks family and entertain your kids from home!

Become an official PGE Junior Ranger

PGE’s Junior Ranger program encourages young Oregonians to explore the outdoors, but when you can’t get to our parks, we have online options too!

This self-guided, activity-based program is designed for children ages 5 to 12, although anyone who feels like a kid at heart can join in! Children can earn awards by completing educational activity books.

Download the activity books to become a Junior Ranger in your own home.

PGE Junior Rangers with certificates and badge

Ready to earn your Junior Ranger badge?

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Download Activity Book No. 1.
  2. Complete the activities.
  3. Turn in your completed activity book through email to receive your reward. Take a scan or picture of the completed pages in your activity book and email us at pgeparks@pgn.com. Remember to include your name and address so that we can send your award!

NOTICE: Due to our efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, staff supporting the Junior Ranger Program are shifting to teleworking, so we are postponing the mailing and processing of awards (badges and adventure pens). We will make sure that awards are sent when we return to working in the office.

Activity books will remain available for download, and caregivers can always help children celebrate their achievements with the Junior Ranger Certificate of Completion.

Ready for your next adventure, ranger?

Kids who have completed the first activity book are encouraged to continue exploring with Activity Book No. 2. Try these hands-on activities anywhere you like to spend time outdoors.
