Your business depends on reliable power. But as recent windstorms demonstrated, severe weather can topple trees, bring down power lines and cause outages. We’re ready to respond rapidly to power outages — are you? Take these simple steps now. If the power goes out, you’ll be ready react quickly and get the information you need to make operating decisions for your business.

  1. Assemble your outage kit, put it in a handy spot and make sure everyone knows where to find it. Your basic kit should include:
    • Flashlights
    • Battery-powered radio (Handy-option: combination hand-crank flashlight/radio/cell phone charger)
    • Car chargers for cell phones and tablets or laptop computers
    • Battery-powered clock
    • Emergency phone numbers, including PGE outage numbers
    • Extra batteries

  2. Follow us on social media. We post outage updates on Twitter and Facebook
  3. Sign up for texting with PGE. If you primarily conduct business on a single PGE account, register your mobile phone online now with PGE. You’ll be able to report outages and request updates via text. It’s quick and easy.
