Want to get away to camp, boat or fish this summer? Pelton Park, on the shore of Lake Simtustus in Central Oregon, and Promontory Park, on the Clackamas River, are two of our most popular destinations, and you can reserve a campsite at either online now.
Email and telephone reservations open March 28 for campsites at Pelton and Promontory, as well as for day use/picnic shelters at Trojan, Trout Creek Ranch and Round Butte Overlook Park.
We have other campgrounds too: For Timothy Lake and Lake Harriett, you can make reservations up to six months in advance of your visit through the National Recreation Reservation system.
What’s new this year?
Here are just some of the park upgrades we’ve completed to give you an even better experience this year.
- Promontory Park: The park now has cabins for rent as well as electricity at selected sites. RV drivers will have an easier time with the wider road and some larger sites. And the improved marina reopens in May.
- Timothy Lake group sites: The reservation-only Pine Point Group Campground will be open this summer with two group sites that can each accommodate 36 people.
