Test drive an EV and you could win

That’s a great question. Thanks for asking.

Q. I’m interested in buying an electric car. How can I learn about options? Are there any incentives available to help cover the purchase cost?

Yes, there are incentives available. Electric cars qualify for Oregon rebates up to $5,000 and a federal tax credit up to $7,500. Plus, right now, to celebrate National Drive Electric Week, Oregon Electric Vehicle Association is offering you a chance to win $2,500 toward the purchase of an EV. There are two ways to enter:

Take a test drive, Sept. 1 through Oct. 7, at a participating dealer for your chance to win:

To make buying and driving electric as easy as possible, PGE is partnering with these local dealers and Chargeway (a digital app that makes it simple to find the right charging station). Take a test drive and enter to win!

Or, if you hurry, you can enter to win at the National Drive Electric Week Ride and Drive Event on Saturday, Sept. 21, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at World of Speed in Wilsonville. We’re partnering with the Oregon Electric Vehicle Association for this EV Ride and Drive event where you can test drive several different models of electric vehicles, and learn from current EV drivers about how easy it is to drive electric.

See the Oregon Electric Vehicle Association website for details about the sweepstakes and the Ride and Drive event.
