Partnering with PPS on climate literacy
Helping youth thrive in cleaner, greener, more equitable communities
Few issues have created a rallying cry for today’s youth like climate change. Students have been calling for action consistently, and we’re pleased to answer their call with an exciting new partnership.
In January, we announced that we are helping fund and develop a first-of-its-kind, open-source climate literacy curriculum with Portland Public Schools. This curriculum explores the causes and consequences of climate change, as well as potential solutions. It will be ready for K-12 PPS students starting Fall 2021, and because it’s open source, it will be available online for other districts to customize for their schools.
“We all have a role to play in addressing climate change, and we are determined to be part of the solution.” PGE President and CEO Maria Pope.
This partnership is just one of the ways we’re working with the community to build a clean energy future.
