Price changes for 2016

Decrease took effect Jan. 1.

The Oregon Public Utility Commission approved a drop in overall prices for PGE customers of about 2.5 percent beginning Jan. 1, 2016. The decrease reflects reductions in PGE’s base business costs as well as various credits and adjustments.

Business customers will see a decrease of between 0.1 percent and 3.6 percent, depending on your price schedule.

The OPUC has also authorized an additional price adjustment in mid- 2016, provided the new Carty Generating Station, a natural gas-fired facility under construction near Boardman, goes online by July 31, 2016.

The overall impact for the year of the January price decrease plus Carty’s inclusion is expected to be a net price increase to business customers for the year of between 1 and 2.8 percent over 2015 prices.
