Visiting Biglow Canyon wind farm

Several commercial and industrial Clean Wind customers got to see how big a wind turbine really is when they took a tour out to PGE’s Biglow Canyon wind farm near Wasco in Sherman County. Each turbine is about 400 feet tall and each blade is about as long as a city block!

Biglow Canyon wind farm was completed in 2010 and produces an average of around 150 MW — enough to power the homes of about 125,000 average PGE residential customers annually.
