Supporting our communities

We want to recognize and thank our community partners who are currently providing critical services. We also want to help.

  • PGE and the PGE Foundation are committing more than $1 million to educational programs in our region and to help address food insecurity and other immediate needs through donations to the Oregon Food Bank, Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon, Marion Polk Food Share, the Oregon Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Community Recovery Fund, 211info and community action organizations in Washington, Yamhill and East Multnomah Counties.
  • The PGE Foundation will continue to work with our nonprofit partners to sustain vital services for some of our most vulnerable customers.
  • We’re working to secure extra energy assistance for low-income customers.
    • Locally we are working with Community Action Partnership of Oregon, NW Energy Coalition, the Oregon Citizens Utility Board and other partners to secure state funding to increase the emergency energy assistance funds available to CAP agencies across Oregon. These agencies are on the front lines of delivering bill assistance and other services to Oregonians in need.
    • Nationally we worked with a broad coalition of customer advocates and utilities on the recently enacted federal COVID-19 aid package that resulted in an additional $9 million to Oregon’s Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
  • We’ve made a $50,000 donation to the Oregon Community Foundation’s Small Business Stabilization Fund.
