About estimated restoration times
PGE takes many steps to help prevent power outages. But when they do occur, our crews respond immediately to make repairs. We realize if you lose power, you’ll want to know how soon it will be restored. We initially set every estimated restoration time to about 2 hours, 15 minutes from the time the first call is received. This figure is based on average outage restoration times in PGE service territory. The first hour is the time it generally takes for a crew to reach an outage location. Once a crew arrives on the scene and evaluates the situation, we refine the estimated restoration time based on the actual outage circumstances.
Occasionally, restoration times will show as “Not Available”. This happens usually during major storms when there are large numbers of outages and severe weather conditions complicate repair efforts. These circumstances prevent us from providing repair estimates. But be assured that PGE is working to restore your power as quickly as possible. During major storms, we call in extra crews and work overtime to get the job done.
